Utah Desert Golf Classic - Invitational Block Letter
Introduction
In this exercise you will use the letterhead you created and key in a block style letter.
Objectives and Skills
- Write a block style letter
- Use bold, italics, and underlining for emphasis
- Enhance the document by changing tabs, margins, and spacing
- Manipulate the document using undo, cut, copy and paste
- Create a simple column table using tab setting
- Proofread and edit documents for accuracy and content, and for correct grammar, spelling, and punctuation
Instructions
- Use the letterhead you created in the first exercise.
- Write a block style letter with closed punctuation to Coach Robert Jones inviting his golf team to the Utah Desert
Classic.
- Change your margins to 1 1/4 inches on the right and left sides.
- Use a serif font, size 12 or 14 points.
- Use today's date, include your initials as the typist, and any other notations as needed.
- Use bold, italics, and/or underlining as shown.
- Insert the three-column schedule following the first paragraph. Center the table horizontally. Insert 5 spaces or "x's"
between columns.
- Use closed punctuation.
- The letter is from Wendy Harrira You are responsible for following directions and making sure your letter is mailable.
- Proofread, save and print your letter.
