Utah Desert Golf Classic
- Tournament Sign-up Database & Report
Introduction
Use the page of sign-up cards to create a database for
each player who will attend the Utah Desert Golf Classic.
The database will be used to create a couple of reports and name
tags for the tournament.
Objectives and Skills
- Use database software to plan, create, update, add, and delete
records.
- Enter data into and edit fields and records.
- Sort the database for a specific record.
- Search the database for a specific record.
- Generate an attractive report using specific fields from the
database.
- Demonstrate problem solving ability by searching for and printing
out records that meet specific criteria.
- Proofread and edit documents for accuracy and content, and
for correct grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
Instructions
Create the Database
- Open up your database program.
- Setup the fields for each record using the accompanying forms.
- Print one copy of the form created with the fields if possible.
- Enter the information for each form as a separate record.
- Save the database.
Tournament Sign-up Report
- Create a report called: Tournament Sign-up with a subtitle
Prepared by (Your Name).
- Include the following headings and fields in this order:
Tournament, Name, and School.
- Format the report with appropriate blank lines between the
title section and the column headings.
- Center and bold the title.
- Center and italicize the sub title.
- Adjust column widths as needed.
- Sort the report (database) by Tournament and Name.
- Proofread, save, and print.
